"Batik Sunrise" is a large wall quilt that highlights the rich patterns of whole cloth batik fabric, framed by a border of blending colors. The quilt is hand quilted throughout, with vertical lines enhanced by applique and thread-wrapping techniques that introduce both texture and visual interest. The result is a harmonious composition that balances tradition with intricate detail.

Chasing a Dream is a visual journey through the fragmented paths we encounter in pursuit of our aspirations. Painted lines traverse portions the square format, yet their flow is disrupted by threaded segments, symbolizing the obstacles and detours along the way. Incomplete vertical lines reflect the many dreams still unfinished, capturing the essence of the pursuit. This is the first in a series of two, followed by Still Chasing, continuing the narrative of ambition and resilience.

This fiber art wall hanging is crafted from African wax batik fabric. The vibrant pattern suggests a desire to take flight, breaking free from the constraints that hold it in place. This piece began with a foundation of a yellow pattern brushed cotton fabric designed based on a Klimt theme. A band of stepped color patterns create an inner frame of the piece. Small pieces were raw edge appliqued throughout and a variety of threading/stitching techniques were used to secure them.
